Description

  • This role is responsible for providing and administering anesthesia following approved guidelines and managing patients in the theatre.

Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:

  • To provide quality medical care to patients
  • Develop, implement and maintain a quality assurance programme for the anaesthetic and intensive care service
  • Execute a thorough evaluation of the patient’s medical and surgical history to ascertain the history of drug acceptance and reaction.
  • Preparing patients for anesthesia and administering it
  • Providing pre and post-operative care to patient;
  • Providing resuscitation services in case of emergency and disaster situations.
  • Coordinating the maintenance of anesthetic operational equipment and ensuring their functionality;
  • Remain abreast with trends, development, and utilization of technology in the field of anaesthesia and intensive care medicine, on an ongoing basis.
  • To assist with surgical procedures
  • To be "on-call" or participate in shift rosters is a requirement of the position

Education & Experience

  • Candidate must be licensed to practice medicine by the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association.
  • Minimum of 3 years cognate experience as an anesthesiologist.
  • The job holder must portray a caring and professional manner in all aspects of work.
  • Must show evidence of competence in the management of anesthesia cases and evidence of active participation in relevant research
  • The job holder must have a working knowledge of global quality assurance, clinical audit principles and processes and must exhibit a commitment towards continuous quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of Clinical Surgery and other specialist areas of medical practice such as Pediatrics, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Candidate must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, self-discipline and excellent long term concentration.
  • Familiarity with cultural and religious concerns of patients, and current legislation on patient rights.

2.) Consultant Ophthalmologist

Job Location: Warri, Delta

Job Summary

  • This role is responsible for clinical, managerial, and financial aspects and clinical governance of the department.
  • The Head of the Ophthalmology Department provides clinical leadership for all eye care delivers specialized eye care and provides expert ophthal advice.

Key Result Areas (KRA)
The key result areas of this role are:

  • Renewed glasses if necessary
  • Listen and respond immediately with an appropriate level of concern to all customer issues.
  • Coordinate the delivery of eyewear products to customers according to specified guidelines.
  • Educate patients on how to use the various eye wears especially contact lenses.
  • Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements and safety factors
  • Communicate with patients regarding surgeries, follow-up care, tests and carry out procedures.
  • Advise patients on lens and frame selections.
  • Ensuring of maintenance of the equipment
  • Keeping stock of unit equipment and consumables

Education & Experience

  • Minimum academic qualification of a Fellowship degree at either West African College of Surgeons or National Postgraduate medical college or relevant qualification.
  • 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience preferably in the Health sector.
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Membership of the Nigeria Medical Association
  • Member of the ophthalmology society of Nigeria both local and national.
  • Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Possess high degree of accuracy and attention to details.

3.) Biomedical Engineer

Job Location: Benin, Edo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description
The key result areas of this role are:

Procurement:

  • Advice Management in procuring medical devices backed up by extensive research on price, quality and maintenance, and after-sales service plans.
  • Report and follow up with the resolution of any discrepancy.
  • Complete all new Medical Equipment Acceptance forms.
  • Liaise with technicians and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility of a product in terms of design and economic viability.

Medical Support:

  • Provide engineering support to the clinical and diagnostic Departments as approved by the organization’s Management.
  • Conduct bio-medical research to solve clinical problems using various research tools to gather relevant data.
  • Organizing clinical trials for the testing of medical equipment.

General Maintenance and Repair:

  • Carry out repair and maintenance of medical equipment
  • Manager / Procurement Manager promptly to ensure constant availability of supplies.
  • Prepare and present spare parts requests to the Facility / Maintenance
  • Execute regular safety checks (electrical) and investigate safety-related incidents.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a good Bachelor's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
